ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior ESG Analyst to join our growing sustainability team. In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and reporting of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, conduct research, and help translate sustainability commitments into measurable action. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ESG Data Collection & Reporting Collect, validate, and maintain ESG data across environmental (emissions, energy, water, waste), social (workforce, health & safety, DEI), and governance metrics Support the preparation of annual sustainability and ESG reports aligned with leading frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, UN SDGs) Assist in responding to ESG questionnaires and ratings assessments from agencies such as MSCI, Sustainalytics, EcoVadis, and S&P Global Monitor data quality and integrity across internal reporting systems and databases Research & Analysis Conduct benchmarking analyses of peer companies' ESG strategies, disclosures, and performance Track evolving ESG regulations, mandatory disclosure requirements (e.g., CSRD, SEC climate rules, ISSB standards), and emerging best practices Research material ESG topics relevant to the business and industry sector Analyse ESG risks and opportunities to inform strategic planning and stakeholder communications Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Prepare internal briefing materials, presentations, and dashboards for senior leadership and the Board Support engagement with investors, clients, and external stakeholders on ESG-related enquiries Collaborate with departments including Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, and Procurement to embed ESG considerations into business processes Assist with supplier sustainability assessments and ESG due diligence processes Project Support Contribute to the delivery of specific sustainability initiatives (e.g., net zero roadmap, diversity programmes, responsible sourcing) Help coordinate ESG-related working groups and cross-functional projects Support the development and rollout of ESG training and awareness materials for employees Assist with carbon footprint calculations and Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions inventories QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Essential Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Business, Economics, Social Science, or a related field 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, placements, or graduate roles in ESG, sustainability, or finance are highly regarded) Familiarity with major ESG frameworks and standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, ISSB) Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present quantitative data clearly Excellent written and verbal communication skills High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualisation tools is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Desirable Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in sustainability (e.g., CFA ESG Certificate, GRI Certified Professional, IEMA Associate) Experience with ESG data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg ESG, Refinitiv, Clarity AI, Workiva) Understanding of responsible investment principles (PRI, UNPRI) or sustainable finance (green bonds, ESG-linked lending) Exposure to greenhouse gas accounting standards (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064) Knowledge of emerging mandatory disclosure regulations (CSRD, TCFD, ISSB IFRS S1/S2) CORE COMPETENCIES WHAT WE OFFER Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Dedicated budget for professional development and ESG certifications Meaningful work that contributes directly to our sustainability commitments Access to a collaborative, purpose-driven team of ESG professionals Mentorship and clear career progression pathways within the ESG function ABOUT US Yes Human is a company dedicated to creating sustainable solutions for a better future.
